The Association for Craft Producers (ACP), established in 1984, balances social commitments and business goals as a socially-minded, commercially sustainable enterprise. ACP is a local, non-profit fair trade craft organization led by an 11-member board of directors, 8 of whom are women. With 50 full-time employees, 30 in-house producers, and over 500 affiliated producers who either work from home or in groups, ACP directly and indirectly supports 3,000 people. ACP provides design, marketing, management, and technical support to low-income producers, improving their incomes and living standards through fair trade principles.
