Home Visit: Craft Sisters x Tina Frisk
Welcome to a personal home, decorated with attention to detail and atmosphere.
This is where Tina Frisk lives, who works as a health visitor in her daily life. Together with her husband, she has created a pleasant home with a special calm and a fine sense of color and art. A home that feels lived in and thoughtfully arranged in its own way.

Hi Tina,
We are incredibly happy that you agreed to be part of our Home Visits.
Your home is both personal and cozy. How long have you lived in the apartment? It is filled with colors, art, and exciting furniture combinations.

Tina Frisk:
We have lived in the apartment for 10 years. I am the one who comes up with ideas for our interior, but my husband is always consulted, and fortunately, he usually agrees with them. Our furniture is a mix of secondhand, new, and things we have inherited.
Craft Sisters:
There is art in every room. How and where do you find your art? Is there something special that catches your eye? Do you think about where it should hang?

Tina Frisk:
Much of our art is something we have a connection to, either through friends and acquaintances or from the Art Academy’s Christmas market. I especially like Hjørring Graphic Workshop, which has a nice website.
We always buy art that we find beautiful or fun, not necessarily because it fits the interior. But we always try to find a place where it stands out.

Craft Sisters:
We are curious about how you choose and combine colors. It comes across as both bold and balanced. Even the bright rooms contain many colors, in the art, furniture, textiles, and ceramics.

Tina Frisk:
The colors in our apartment are chosen based on each room and the moods I want to create. In the bedroom, for example, I wanted a feeling of sunlight.
The dining room is a soft pink, and the sofa room has a light lavender tone. Of course, I think about what matches the colors. For example, I think red shades work well with pink walls, and blue-green tones look great with the brown sofa in the living room.

Craft Sisters:
You have very beautiful ceramics. Are they heirlooms?

Tina Frisk:
I usually find our ceramics at thrift stores and flea markets in the summer area around our summer house in Havnsø.
Thank you for sharing your home with us, Tina

Home Visit: Craft Sisters x Josefine Hedemann
We visited stylist Josefine Hedemann in her apartment in Nørrebro and talked about how she works with colors, atmosphere, and the things she chooses to live with. Her home is a consistent blend of clarity, warmth, and handmade details. A room shaped by intuition and personality.

Craft Sisters:
You have a wonderful way of combining colors and materials. When did you first discover Craft Sisters?
Josefine Hedemann:
I have been working with styling and interior design since 2017. When we moved to Nørrebro and renovated our apartment ten years ago, Craft Sisters had just opened their store. I have been following them ever since. Some of the first things I bought were cushions and rugs. Later, Beldi glasses and Moroccan bowls joined the collection. I have kept an eye on the store ever since.
Craft Sisters:
We are curious about how you choose colors. It always seems so balanced, even when you use stronger colors.

Josefine Hedemann:
I think more in moods than fixed color schemes. I have a few basic elements that I always return to, such as wall colors, the oak in the kitchen, and the curtains. Things that are part of the permanent interior. Then I add things in bright colors, like vases, art, pillows, and rugs. It can be shades of orange and red or green tones that go well with the rest of the home. If I choose something larger, like a big rug, it is important that it does not overpower the room or that there are a few recurring shades that tie it all together.

Craft Sisters:
We have noticed that you often mix vintage, handmade textiles, and more modern elements. Do you have a method, or is it completely intuitive?
Josefine Hedemann:
I work very intuitively and am not afraid to mix colors and shapes. My love for ceramics and glass often revolves around the surface and the fact that you can see they are handmade. I am often drawn to ceramics with beautiful, hand-painted patterns and colors. Glass can be a bit uneven, like Beldi glass, which often has small bubbles that show they are mouth-blown. At first, I was caught by the color, the soft greenish tone that is not too clear but still brings life to the table. I love that the glasses are still mouth-blown in Morocco and that each glass carries small traces of the craftsmanship. They can be used for water, flowers, and small snacks, so they live a pretty flexible life in my home.

One of my latest purchases is two Suzani bedspreads, which I have also used as wall hangings. I love the unique, embroidered floral motifs. They have a beautiful and very personal expression; it almost feels like art. They bring energy and warmth to the room, while you can see and feel the craftsmanship up close. Overall, I like to choose my own unique expression. There is only one of each.
I only try to bring things into my home that truly make me happy every day. Not necessarily something expensive, just things with soul and character. I work so much with interiors daily, and at home, I need things to feel calm and personal. That's why I always return to handmade textiles and small things with soul. I never get tired of them.
A small glimpse into Josefine's world, where colors feel effortless, and handmade finds have a natural place in everyday life.
Thank you for sharing your home with us, Josefine.
