Kumbeshwar Technical School

Kumbeshwar Technical School (KTS) is a non-profit NGO, founded in 1983 in Patan, Nepal. The organization runs an orphanage, a kindergarten, a school, and a technical training institute.

KTS was originally established to help the most marginalized castes, who were previously excluded from education and work. Today, KTS offers vocational training to low-income groups in carpet weaving, knitting and furniture carpentry. In addition, they provide childcare and schooling for children up to the 6th grade.

Craft Sisters collaborates with KTS on the production of knitted mittens, scarves and Christmas decorations.
