Nepalese potters
Stoneware production is a big part of Nepalese culture with a history that goes back thousands of years. Bowls and pots were – and are – used in everyday life for storage, water, decoration, lamps, etc. Over time, the technique and tools have been developed and become more efficient, but the basic idea remains the same.
Craft Sisters works with a small workshop in Baghtapur, where a number of highly skilled potters secure an income that can support their families.
