Moroccan vintage rug - Azilal 2736

Rare old and fine Azilal rug (‘asi-lal’) from the Azilal region in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. The rugs are made by local Berber women who produce them for their own use, characterized by their colorful patterns and beautiful motifs on an undyed wool background. Originally, the weavers had no written language and therefore passed on their stories in the handwoven rugs, each of which is unique.

The rug is finer in the weave and represents the oldest Azilal. Note that it is not as heavy as the newer ones, and we recommend a rug pad underneath.  

The rug can be used as decoration on floors or walls.

100% sheep wool (sometimes combined with cotton).

100% fåreuld (sommetider kombineret med bomuld)

Støvsuges skånsomt uden børste eller rystes og bankes grundigt udenfor. Pletter fjernes forsigtigt med lidt uldvask eller shampoo og lunkent vand. Undgå at gnide i tæppet. Ved større pletter anbefales professionel rens.
